A guided tour through El Dorado Park’s restoration area this Saturday will help people learn how the native people lived and cared for the land long before Europeans settled the area.
“Back in Time” will be held Saturday, January 30, at the El Dorado Park Nature Center from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $3 per person. Pre-registration is required. Call 562-570-1745. The center is at 7550 E. Spring St. in Long Beach.
El Dorado Park is the setting for the novel, “Puvungna” by Daniel Ross Stiel. The story is about two young brothers who travel back in time more than 500 years and discover a lost Indian village along the shores of a Southern California Beach.
