ARCADIA – As part of the Ruth and Charles Gilb Arcadia’s Museum’s new exhibition, "Tongva, Our Voice, Our History, Our People," Tongva elder Irene Verdugo and her granddaughter, Theresa Richau, spoke about their heritage at the library’s Brown Bag Lunch recently at the museum, 380 W. Huntington Drive. Verdugo is a descendant of Victoria Reid, spouse of Hugo Reid.
The exhibit opened with a day of activities, including Tongva dancers, basket weavers, children’s activities and more. The exhibit continues through Nov. 22. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
